F-4F Phantom. This is the type of fighter I used to fly as a navigator/WSO, though I flew the E model. This aircraft is actually a German jet though it flies USAF colors. It's one of Phantoms based at Holloman AFB, NM where the Air Force hosts a German pilot training base. It's the only permanent foreign military base in America. The Germans prefer to train in the American desert where they get a lot more flying days than they would in the awful European weather.
