Arado Ar 234B-2 Blitz

This German WWII warplane was the first operational jet bomber. The Nazis were only able to knock off a couple hundred of them before the war ended. One of them flew a recce mission over the Normandy beachhead a couple months after the Allied invasion, gathering more intel in that flight than the Germans had gathered since the landing. Our prop planes couldn't touch it. Arados also made a bomb run on the bridge at Remagen but weren't able to drop it to stop our guys from crossing into Germany.

The Smithsonian did a fine job on this jet. It looks factory fresh. You can almost smell that new bomber scent.
