Police man the barricade against a violent mob of protestors at the Willard Hotel. You can see the remains of the snowballs the protestors were throwing at the police. The protestors were taunting and yelling at the police, desperate for a confrontation. The police did nothing in response except move back about ten feet from the fence. They didn't even try to dodge the snowballs. They just let them hit them.

When the police moved back, it encouraged the protestors who raged louder. They started chanting at the police to end the occupation in Palestine, as if the DC police have anything to do with that.
