This old Soviet Yak-9 is a WWII fighter, said by its German Luftwaffe opponents to be pretty good. Usually, they baby these old WWII birds at airshows, just doing a flyby with no real maneuvering, but this guy did a real airshow, split S-ing over the field. He was putting on a good show until one loop where he came within a wingspan of the turf. He landed immediately after that. I think he purt near busted his ass right there in front of an audience of thousands and the Supervisor Of Flying up in the control tower ended his act right there and then. The Air Force doesn't like airplanes crashing and burning on its airfields.
