The Big D, baby. Downtown Dallas in all its glory. If you look closely at horizon level in the middle right of the view, you will see a red dot that is Pegasus, the flying red horse sign that was the symbol of the Magnolia Petroleum Company, which became the Mobil Oil Company, which became Exxon Mobil Corporation. When it was hoisted on top of the 29 story Magnolia Building, the tallest building in Texas, in 1934 it became a Dallas icon. Biplanes looking for Love Field would look for Pegasus, which was lit at night, to find Dallas. It used to tower over the rest of the town but now in its old age it is dwarfed by the young whippersnapper skyscrapers.
