Here's the view of the Trinity River bottoms from Reunion Tower. In the old "Dallas" TV show, there was an opening helicopter shot flying in across the bottoms the silvery façade of the Hyatt Regency hotel, which is connected to the tower. About every two weeks, some fisherman finds a body floating in the Trinity. They're mostly the product of the dirty underbelly of Dallas: drug deals gone bad, prostitutes who met an evil John, and women who ran afoul of an ill-tempered boyfriend.
